Michael Savage’s aggressive commentary contributes to his success as the third largest syndicated radio show in the United States. Nationwide, The Michael Savage Show is the number one ranked radio talk show in its daypart. In 2006, Savage was nominated for Syndicated Talk Host of the Year by Radio and Records Magazine.

Savage is the man behind the phrases “compassionate conservative” and “Islamo-Fascist,” terms used throughout today’s political world. Despite these conservative associations, Savage is an individualist who defies stereotypes. His frequent attacks include big government and the liberal media, yet the environment and animals rights are among his causes.

In addition to his role has a talk radio host, Savage is also an accomplished author. Among Savage’s 18 books, three of them, Liberalism is a Mental Disorder, The Savage Nation, and The Enemy Within, have landed on the New York Times Bestsellers list.

Savage has also had significant scientific training. He has earned Master’s degrees in medical botany and medical anthropology in addition to a Ph.D. in Epidemiology and Nutritional Sciences from the University of California at Berkley. His primary interest in these fields lies in researching and saving tropical rainforests.
