What Are We Doing and Why?

The Global Orphan Project:  A viral coalition of the many joining together to tackle the global orphan pandemic one child at a time.

1.2 Billion people live on less than $1 per day.  Among them are the many Millions of orphaned and abandoned children living without care in extreme poverty.

If we could survey our world from on high, and just observe humanity – without boundaries or politics – we would see heart-wrenching economic disparity.  And zooming in on the poorest of our brothers and sisters, we’d see one of our greatest earthly failings.  We’d see Millions of orphaned and vulnerable children.  Each a beautiful child.  We’d see their eyes; their feet; their little hands.  We’d see our own children and ourselves.

This condition doesn’t gently whisper for a “helping hand.”  It screams in desperation for an awakening of our souls.  It invites a most amazing quest of urgency and passion.

Through The Global Orphan Project, C3 provides all who are willing with practical outlets to engage in a coalition to reclaim these little ones.  You can help place sustainable orphan villages in the poorest places in the world.  You can form and personally spearhead your own Global Orphan Project – in your family, your group of friends, your business, your school, your church, etc…  We all just add our little together for something selfless and great – for a purpose bigger than any one of us.

And the real kicker is this:  Giving ourselves to this cause transforms our hearts and lives.  It’s such a joy.  No investment returns like this one.

Our Model

With the help of exemplary partners on the ground, in addition to your help, we can provide kids with essential needs.  We band together with local organizations in each country where we work, carefully selecting the partners based on expertise and the ability to effect real, sustainable change in the communities they serve.

A typical village includes:

• Local indigenous church (C3 partners with carefully selected and reliable local churches to own the villages and day-to-day care of the children)
• Small, relevant, eco-friendly children homes (the homes are typical in the community and care is set up to be acceptable to local standards, not Americanized or artificially inflated)
• A school in or near the village
• Basic healthcare
• Local agricultural and economic development to move the village to self-sustainment

The Village Process – B.I.G.

You can engage in any or all of the 3 critical components of creating a sustainable orphan village:

BUILD

You can build small, relevant, eco-friendly children’s homes to provide safe, secure places for kids who need it.  Typically, a family home for 10-12 children and house “mama” costs $5,000.  This is the launching point for the village.

INVEST

You can invest in all the elements needed to develop the village from empty buildings to self-sustaining homes.  Investors in the basic needs of the village are the lifeblood of The Global Orphan Project.  By investing you are providing: clean water; beds; food; school books; clothes; medicines; toilets; and so much more…

GROW

Economic and agricultural development ventures grow the village to modest self-sustainment.  Jobs and more robust economies are created for our children as they grow-up in a positive environment of possibility and accountability.
