Stigall's Show Notes

Missed something on the KCMO Morning Show? Catch up here.

So President Obama fired an Inspector General.  Then, details came in that the removal may have been seedy.  Sen. Chuck Grassly threw in that the First Lady's office may be involved.

Now, Sen. Claire McCaskill says he might have not followed his own law.  Let the back peddling begin. For the latest you can follow her (ugh) twitter.

You may remember Mary Sanchez' column blamed the fighting at the K on all that rock 'n roll music and flashing lights.  Now, Mike Hendricks thinks the problem with the Royals is their rabid pro-life stance.  These two should meet and get on the same page.

IBD noticed that President Obama's statements about Iran's elections sound different than what he said at his inauguration.

Insurance, banks and autos.  Keeping a watch on what's next. The IRS is looking at taxing your company cell phone if you call home with it.  Obama wants to shutter cities like Flint, MI because they're too small and draining resources. And A.I.G. doesn't want to pay for passengers that lost everything in that downed flight in the Hudson.  Or you could say, THE GOVERNMENT isn't paying out, right?

Contrary to Sen. Claire McCaskill's statements, there appears to be pork from the stimulus bill.  Maybe this is why not one republican voted for the stimulus.  KCTV5 chronicles Missouri's share ($500,000) of $50M for fish food.  Sen. Tom Coburn shares 100 pork projects in the stimulus, and Biden tries to defend the jobless estimates on Meet the Press.

Arm Yourself in the Fight Against Obama-Care
What will this do to YOUR insurance?

What is your premium now? What is your premium going to be? The WSJ has WellPoint study information with a breakdown. (Surprise, it's going up.)

Bill Running Over the Elderly

The mandatory end of life counseling has people talking.  It's getting Rham-ed through.  IBD chronicles this well here.

Fanny-Med?

Wall Street Journal reports, what is happening with health care negotiations is going to be a Fannie Mae style compromise.

The Pledge

 From Powerline Blog:

Readers may wish to present this pledge to their Senators and Representatives.

My Pledge to My Constituents on National Health Insurance

1. I will not vote to expand the bankrupt Medicare program unless and until it is first placed on a sound actuarial basis.

2. I will not vote for any national health insurance legislation that includes a public plan unless I am prepared to enroll myself and my family in the public plan. If a national health insurance bill with a public plan passes the Senate with my vote in support, then I pledge to enroll myself and my family in that public plan.

What is the cost of this?

US Governors voice deep concern, $200B worth of unfunded mandates and not many answers.

The Congressional Budget Office says this will not control medical spending, but increase it.  Harry Reid's response?  Sounds like the CBO should run for republican office.

Public Opinion Against Obama-Care

Stigall talked with Betsy McCaughey about just this.  Obama's broken promises.  (Betsy is the key figure in this fight and brought down Hillary-Care)

IBD's Thomas Sowell breaks down the arguments.  Is medical care going to be better or worse with this?

And the Wall Street Journal has slammed this, here is their Editorial against Obama-Care.
